lm250/phil jones d-200/genz benz 3.0 to combo

Hi all,

had a qns but couldn't get any of my bass friend to answer it.
as i'm on a passive p bass, i would like to purchase one of the lightweight heads (lm250/phil jones d-200/genz benz 3.0) and use it as a preamp pedal.

as where i play has already have a ampeg combo, which is connected to the DI, and the DI out to my instrument (the DI is then connected to the mains.
**which means the ampeg combo acts as a monitor on stage and the signal of my bass goes into the DI and then into the mains (passive input on the mains is v. weak)

and therefore i had this idea of using a bass head that runs just like a pedal to improve my bass signal to the DI(and also will play thru the combo), but where shld i plug? as the back of the bass head only has aux out/line out/ efx send, efx receive, speaker out.

or is it technically impossible to do?

Thanks for reading and looking forward for replies before i proceed

so in graphics, its like

passive bass -- tuner-- amp head----- DI--- 1st output to mains (soundman mix signal to audience) and another output DI output to the ampeg combo (stage monitoring)

so at the rear of the amp head, where shld i plug for the signal to go into the DI?

Thanks guys

(the combo and DI are fixed equipments where i play, can't shift it or not use it)
