Help fellow TB'ers! I need to order some 4' XLR cables for our sound box. I need some recommended companies to order from. Thanks!

If you're handy you could buy some good cable (like Mogami) and some ends & put them together yourself.

Whichever mic cables you get make sure they have grounded shields.

I don't know of any that don't have the shield pinned out on both ends, at least the ones made for normal use. Whether or not the shield is grounded depends on whatever you have it connected to.

I like the "design your own cable" option at redco.com.

Well, just to add even more diversity, I get mine from B&H Photo Video. Canare exclusively. A big plus is that they come in colors.

+1 FWIW, I prefer cables with Neutrik connectors.

Oops, I mean the sleeve. I’ve seen some cheap XLR cables that don’t have grounded sleeves (sleeve connected to pin 1).

What's on sale at Sam Ash? That's how I decide what cables to get.
