hey

i´m new in this forum and i want to know if it is possible to get a similar sound with the boss me 50b of songs like hysteria or uprising?

Yep, sure is.... Used to have the ME50B. Just set some patches and ur away flyin. Wont sound spot on as Wolstenholme uses. hes got somethin crazy like 6 channels in the mixer and also a dry/clean line out to another rig but has all the fx sounds u need with the distortions

I know he uses some fuzz, synth, and distortion effects. I don't know the exact pedals, but I think the fuzz is a morley. I think that the Muse website has a listing of all of the stuff they use: if not I think the Muse wikia does. Go check those out.

Make sure you try out the sounds with the band before going live -- a lot of those effects can completely cut you out of the mix if they aren't set right.

There's been some pretty in depth discussion of Chris's effect setup over in the effects section -- you should definitely check that out.

I believe that he uses 3 big Muffs, to get that HUGE sound...
