Need to fix Airline Transmitter Wireless

So I use a Samson Airline bass wireless and it's worked great for years. Just recently the transmitter stopped working. I put in a new battery and the power light does not come on and there is no sound not even a crackle. the Receiver works fine and I've put brand new batteries in both.

Any suggestions as how to troubleshoot the problem or a possible fix would be awesome. I have had this for over 8 years and took very good care of this system. I've used it for 50+ gigs and several practices.
