Need recommendation for a versatile, (small) gig-able practice amp?
I play MusicMan StingRay basses (4-string), typically through a SansAmp RBI (preamp), into a Mesa 400+, into a Mesa 6x10 cab. I really like the balls and overall punchiness with this combination. I had been playing Metal/Punk/Rock type music. I just joined a country band and my rig is both physically and sonically too big. I'm looking for recommendations on a combo amp that will be able to provide the versatility of many genres, but the ability to turn way down, as well as being able to keep up with medium-sized guitar rigs. I believe the two guitarists in my new band both play Fender combo amplifiers... a 4x10 Super Reverb (45w?) and a Fender Twin (85w?).
Please lend me your thoughts.

How about your RBI set clean and run both into the PA and also a powered monitor speaker with you on stage (QSC K12 or similar)?

lots of options here. You may also get more and better feedback if you post this thread in the Amps section of the forum.

I'm currently looking at Markbass amps. The backpack size of the amps and weight of the cabs are what I really like. Personally I like the Tube 800 and then you can pick up a 4x10 and/or a 1x15 and you have everything you need to keep those pesky guitarists where they belong. GC had a nice labor day sale on them but didn't have the right cab in stock here in Raleigh.
