Anyone use the PV115 and or PV118? how do you like em? worth the money? seeing they are running about $200ea was considering a pair of each running off a XTI2000 for bar gigs. comes out cheaper than what I was planning on building and they seem better than behringer or other low cost PA speakers, but figured let me ask if anyone has used em.

I have read that there are two kinds of the 18" the cheaper provides a good thump but not good sustained low end. The higher priced one is supposedly great. I love Peavey stuff.

Obviously you are a very capable builder, I would look into a billfitzmaurice titan, or go w. scoup of some kind personally.

originally I was gonna use a pair of fearful 15 subs and the 12/6/1s as tops but money wise its not efficient for what my band needs. I got some plans for BFM designs too but cost wise im just looking at options. the fearfuls sound great, but at $400 a pop on the 12/6/1s and $250 a pop on the 15subs dunno if i want to take the time to build another set. the peaveys caught my eye but if they are crap it wouldnt be worth the money either.

I wanted to ask you. Why do you have at Fearful 15 to go with the 12/6/1? Isn't the whole point of the Fearfull to get massive low end w. a small lightweight cabinet?

You already have 1 15. why not just build one more and be done with it? I am sure that the Fearful sounds better than the peavey.

I run 4 of the PV118s. I would prefer to have the JBLs but for the money these get the job done just fine.

the 15 was my first fearful build before the 12/6/1, I was gonna use it with a headcase, then i decided to go 12/6/1 instead because the 15sub doesnt fit in my trunk, which is the one I showed you. 12/6/1 gets plenty low so i was gonna use the 15 as the sub for the PA and its been sitting in my office since. once in awhile I add it to the 12/6/1 just to get more cone area when i want to blast outdoors. but yeah the 15subs are still a consideration for the PA, but since the 15sub is really good from 40-1500Hz its kinda overkill for a straight sub application. as for the PV115 thats a main that I was considering so im looking for more info on that than the PV118 i guess.
