Peavey Standard PA Series 260

So I picked up a Peavey Standard Series 260 today for $70 (just the head). I don't think I got ripped off, but It wasn't the greatest deal. Anyway I'm looking at getting cabs for it, but not sure what to get. If I'm reading the schematics right It is 130w per side at 4 ohms (260 watts for both hence the series name). Just trying to make sure I'm reading this right before I try to buy or hook up speakers to this thing.

Additionally. wondering what year this came out and how I would date it. the 'Monitor' or Mark III version of this came out in 79' can't find a date for the 'Standard' PA/Mixer though.

Your reading it wrong. The mixer is a mono mixer not stereo. You actually only have 130 watts available. I would try and find a pair of 8 ohm cabs.

Yeah, I just talked to one of my friends who went through Electronic Engineering for a low down. He said 70 watts per side (140) total.

Are you sure it is not 130W, mono? I don't think it's stereo.

It looks an awful lot like a Peavey 260C, which is 130W mono @ 4ohms.

BTW, for comparison, the 260C schematic I have is dated 8/30/78, revised '86.

It also looks like it succeeded the Peavey Standard, this thing:

Yeah here is a pic of it serial number 4A-09023. I sent this info to Peavey yesterday, trying to figure out what I got.

There is no per side. It is a mono amp. It is suppose to be a 130watts into a 4 ohm load but apparently puts out a 140 watts instead.
