Lightbulb Power Amp Inputs

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

Quick stupid question.

I just came into a Behringer PMP2000 and a 2000 watt, 2 channel power amp.

The PMP 2000 is equipped with Power Amp Inputs (Right & Left). Can I run the 2000 Watt Power Amp into the PMP 2000? Or will I strictly have to run it into the Pre-Amp Outputs?

Thanks.

plug the non powered outputs (labeled "pre amp outputs" #27 in the manual) from the board into the power amp inputs on the amp

heres the manual

aaahh!

you can't run a power amp into anything but speakers!

you can send a line signal out of the mixer head and into the power amp, using the "preamp outputs" of the head (left and right, or mono). the outputs of the power amp go into speakers only.

get this wrong and you get to buy new gear.

So say I want to run a bass head and a power amp? How would I go about hooking it up safely

plug the non powered output from the head (should be labelled pre amp out, amp out, direct out, effect send) into the input of the power amp and plug speakers into the outputs from power amp
