Well, our band just had a member change. In doing so, we lose our practice PA. I have a board, but we need to replace the two JBL EON15's we were using. I was just looking at the following:

Carvin LM12 or LM15
JBL EON515, EON510 or EON315
Peavey PRD15D
Yamaha MSR250 or MSR400

We'd be using it for vocals at practice but every once in a while we may need them for monitors on stage, etc. Love to hear any feedback. Is the Carvin gear any good or are we much better off with the JBL/Mackie gear? 12" vs 15"

Thanks for the feedback!!!

JBL EON515 is pure pro.

Also check out the QSC K-series
but watch their claimed wattage - it's not like you're going to put 500w into a mid/high horn.

The OP is looking for powered speakers. If you can up your budget some look at the JBL PRX512m or QSCHPR122s. The K series QSC might also be a good choice.

Check Carvin's E-bay store they have some LSx1502MA. The Carvin stuff ain't bad at all if you have a sane budget. You can spend more, but Carvin's will do you right.

How are the Eon315's working out for you? Did you get 2 315's or one active and one passive?

We need new floor monitors and am trying to get as much info on these as possible. We play classic rock, male and female singer, 2 guitars, bass, drums, keys. Small clubs, 150 - 350 people.
