Powered Subwoofer.....?
 

I've been thinking of adding a powered sub to my rig. Thinking of running out of the built in direct box the sub. Any recommendations?

Currently using a Markbass CMD102P with the Traveler 151 underneath.

What ya think?

I've tried this at home once. It just got muddy.

I used an Acoustic B200 DI out to a Carvin powered 18" sub. It cranked but no definition.
It'll all depend on individual levels and how well they're balanced.

actual subs belong out front supporting the whole mix (including your bass), not up there with you wrecking the on-stage sound, bleeding into the drum mics and competing with the mains.

Bad idea.

Yeah, the more I think of it, the worse an idea it seems. :D
