-i dont move. period. but apparently thats ok. (or thats atleast what people tell me)
-i dont smile too often. (i must work on that. it freaks fellow band members out sometimes) i just get lost in the music a lot hahah.
- sometimes im in the "horse stance" my guitard says.

Nice Job

Nice Job! Great crowd reaction. And your playing was solid. only suggestion move around a little even if you would have jumped up on the stage with the drummer that would have been cool. RTS NJ club member

thx. my bass teacher suggested on the pat metheny piece that since there was a keyboard player, i should try moving away from the root+third thing and go for more of a bass line type deal. and yeah i should get more "into it". its just that with a different group i play with, they arent that musically talented, but the really know how to move around and have stage presence. with me, i feel like an idiot/show-offy-jerk if i move around if the band isnt that good. idk why.

we came so close man. until the last band. what a band it was. it was a singer, handrum dude, cello player, and another singer? yeah. they were all amazing. if our singer was a little stronger we wouldve won probably. plus battle of bands is a seniority thing nowadays. we are all freshmen hahaha. i actually played my school's battle of bands last year when i was in 8th grade. i played (still am) with kids a grade above me, but same age.

Wow. I played in the 1999 RHS battle of the bands.

It was held in the school cafeteria. We ended up in 2nd place losing by 1 point to the 1st place band.

As said, your playing was solid, and it took me years to build the confidence to be able to move around and try to get more crowd interaction.

Since you are a white male, dont worry, once you start drinkin beer, rhythm will come naturally and you will start moving around.
