Recommend a IEM for my drummer?

Most of the venues around town here have crappy sound guys, and even worse PA support for our drummer, which can make for some interesting timing issues on our songs.

I've seen drummers do it all the time where they wear those big studio headphones so they can hear the rest of the band (or are they simply listening to a click track?)

What options are their to help out my drummer?

Rolls PM50 or PM350 if he sings.

Under $100... rugged pro quality.

Our drummer uses the basic Shure SE115-CL sound isolating earphones. With one of the cheap little Behringer XENYX 1002FX Mixers and a headphone amp to give him his own personal submix. It helps him out a bunch when it comes to keeping time.

The phones amp should have a protective limiter. I know of only two: http://www.rockonaudio.com/package.php, and this: http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com...ems?sku=243606

Phones wise:

No isolation, best fidelity: Grado (any model, but preferably the 125 or better).

Good isolation, very good fidelity: M-Audio IE10 buds (now discontinued ;-(.

Best isolation, good fidelity: ExtremeHeadphones EX29 (the latest version only). (Some headphone amps are a bit puny for these if you like to listen too loudly.)

Good isolation, decent fidelity: Sennheiser 280.

Lousy isolation, mediocre fidelity: Sony 7506.

All of these are around $100 save for Grado, which run from around $60 to very expensive.

My drummer runs the following:

Board: Mackie 402-vlz3 4 channel mixer. (http://www.mackie.com/products/402vlz3/index.html)

Ears: Shure SE-115 (I think)

Metronome: Boss Dr. beat (I think...it has a tap tempo and is programmable.)

mic: condenser mic of some sort.

Here is how he runs everything:

The mic is on a stand and pointed at his groinal region. That goes in to channel 1 on his board, giving him a super good all around drum mix.

His preferred P.A. mix (minus drums) goes to channel 2

Channel 3 goes to his metronome.

He loves it, and gets his own personalized mix.
