Rolls PM351 Issues

Sign in to disble this ad
So I've searched the forums looking for anyone having the same issue I am with the rolls and have come up empty.

Home: When I'm running my rig at the house to practice I pick up a radio station very softly and can hear (again very softly) what sounds like bleed over when I'm running from my computer/ipod into the line in. This does not bug me as much because when I play it's covered up. I'm running to my JHAudio IEM's.

On the road: I hear horrid hum/buzz crap (doesn't smell as bad) on my input from the bass and it carries over into my amp as of the last gig it was really bad and was running into the house as well. Obviously when I unplug the bass cable it is gone. I also found that I can make the sound go away if I mess with the input. It does it no matter which cable I use (checked that first). I'm 90% positive it's the rolls from trying to problem solve the issue. I have changed the ground/lift etc...

When I play, the IEM mix is clean, my sax coming in through the mic input is clean, and other then the noise (which gets louder as I turn it up) my bass is also VERY clean.

Here is my rig:

Music Man Sting Ray 5-> Ernie Ball VP Jr 25K (for active instruments)-> Line 6 M9 (left input/output) -> Aguilar TLC Compressor-> GK1001RB Head (4X10 Neo Cab)-> Rolls PM351 Ins in/out-> FOH-> IEM's

I also run my sax through the M9: AMT LS (Sax Mic)->M9 (right input/output)-> Rolls PM351 (Mic in/out)-> FOH-> IEM's

I don't always run the sax, the sound is there whether I do or not. I know the sound guy is running phantom power which I'm sure is hitting my line in since I don't have another DI in line.

I'm powering the Rolls with the voodoo lab Pedal Power 2 since the rolls can run 9-16VDC (currently running at 9V can bump to 12V if you think this could fix it).

Sorry for the detail, I just want to make sure everything is covered.
