Exclamation Sennheiser G3 Wireless

Sign in to disble this ad
Just picked up this new Sennheiser wireless because I was told its one of the best for bass, tone-wise. I was debating between this one and the G90 by Line6, but I figured sennheiser has been in the buisness longer... so that's what I went with. I got a gig tomorrow night and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or comments on any eq settings or tricks they figured out about it, really any review on it.

The only advice I can give is test your entire rig before the gig. Older wireless systems used to change your tone dramatically and had noticeable latency (delay). These newer units are getting so much better it's difficult to distinguish from a hard wire. You shouldn't have to do much (if anything) in terms of EQ or compensating for latency.

However, before you walk into the gig you should be familiar with how to set up & program your wireless, especially when it comes to selecting and changing frequencies in case there are other units in the venue that could interfere with yours. You should also set the gain on the transmitter to suit the output of your bass so you get the maximum signal level without distortion.

There are G3 IEM, and I think three models of G3 wireless (100, 300, and 500).

We used to have some G2 300s at church and have just up(?)graded to some g3 100 packs for tie mics and wireless guitars. The packs have a setting for guitars (due to the lower output) and even a guitar tuner on board! No RF issues thus far aswell.
