Some Power Amp questions

I power our mains with a Crown XLS802. For small gigs, we run it at stereo at 8 ohms which is 500W per channel. Our speakers can handle much more than that. Here is the stats on the amp. http://www.crownaudio.com/amp_htm/xls.htm It only shows bridged mode running at 8 ohms, and has bridged 4 ohms as blank. If we daisy chain our 2 mains in bridges mode, it would put 800 into each speaker, but since they do not show 4 ohm bridged stats, is this bad for the amp or speakers?

Similar question to what we power our Subs with. http://www.crownaudio.com/amp_htm/xti.htm I use a crown xti2000 in the bridged sub mode. Since that puts it at 4 ohms, because of the 2 8 ohm subs being daisy chained, that would be 1000w into each sub, correct?

I'm pretty new into live sound, but I'm trying to learn quick

Thanks!

The XLS is not rated to run at 4 ohms bridge. Will it? Maybe, but it is probably more likely to fail when pushed this hard. Besides, the difference between 500w per cab and 800w per cab is maybe 1.5 db, which is barely noticeable, if at all.

Your assertion on the XTI is correct. The two 8-ohm subs present a total load of 4ohms on the amp. Run in bridged mode, each will receive 1000 watts.
