Stellar Labs Stage Snakes

I was cruising Amazon looking for a cheap powered mixer and ran across the Stellar Labs Stage Snakes. The prices on these things are ridiculously low for stage snakes- $15 for a 16 channel/4 return 131' stage snake?

Anyone know anything about them?

There's something seriously wrong here.
$12 for a 16 + 4 snake?
20 pairs of wire in a cable that's only 3/8" thick?
The snake in photo sure doesn't seem to be 130 feet long.

I might just order one to find out what's up.

The vendor is MCM electronics, and this item # is in their catalog at $219.

I'd order one just to see if they'll honor the Amazon price, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of re-selling a 131' snake.

MCM is a reputable dealer, so it will be ineresting to see what happens.

You're right, Sam.
While checking the udated price in the link, I noticed that they've sold 2 more since I ordered.
They're going to take a pretty big financial hit if they honor the original/incorrect price on those orders. I'll let you know how my order turns out.

I've seen quite a few messed up prices on amazon, both high and low. They can cancel the order from their end if it goes wrong.

OP here. Hate that for u guys. There were a bunch of different configurations and lengths of that snake from MCM on amazon at similar crazy prices. Hard to believe they were all wrong. A buddy of mine ordered one, haven't heard if they cancelled his order. His final price actually dropped to $12 and $9 for shipping, total of $21. Hope somebody gets at least one.

Those are usually no mistakes, but deliberate marketing tactic.

This snake for example:

#1
The price got it in the regular mic/instrument lead price range, so it was viewed by thousands of people searching for a lead sorted by price, instead of the hundreds who look for snakes.

#2
The price was so good that it got posted here, and probably on numerous other musician sites and even though the initial orders for the "incorrect" price were cancelled, someone probably bought it for the "full" price anyway.

Sam

I don't think it's any more than a typo
I wouldn't think there's large volumes of people scouring the internet looking for a mic snake.

Although I don't know the quality, it may be fine, I would still hesitate at $220 only because $220 is that much closer to a remote controlled type approach. Which is way convenient with digital mixers.
