Sticky/FAQ?

I wonder if the experts out there might help those of us who are totally inexperienced with the basics of live sound with an FAQ sticky at the start of this thread...like a "Key concepts/terminology/" page..

I would love to see diagrams of a basic P.A. system or recommended links/articles on the subject...

There is so much that goes into it, whole books and websites are dedicated to it. I don't think a sticky can cover everything you would need to know.
