stupid cable question

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a short trs to male xlr cable that I'm going to use. I believe the trs is stereo.

can I plug in a normal xlr to xlr cable to add length? and if I can would the trs still be stereo?

thanks

Should work, shouldn't hurt to try it.

It's not stereo.

No problems with an XLR/XLR extension when you've a low impedance load.

Using XLR, TRS, or TS, the load impedance is irrelevant (unless it's DMX).

It's a 3 conductor cable. Whether it is stereo not depends entirely on what you are using it for. Most likely use for a TRS to XLR cable would be for a balanced mono signal.
