Suggestions on using monitors

Today we will be playing outside at a street festival. I have a Mackie Profx22 mixer, Peavey IPR 3000, 2 Peavey PR 15's as mains, 2 EV 18 subs, and 2 Kustom 10 monitors, all are 8 ohms. We haven't been using the monitors because we are using channel one for Mains and channel two for subs, which are rated at 400 Watts. Is there a way to get the monitors in the chain somehow? Mainly for the drummer. all of our gigs are usually inside and we have been able to get by without monitors until i can purchase another amp to push the monitors but I'm concerned the drummer won't be able to hear in the outside environment. Suggestions?

If you have an extra guitar or bass amp, run an Aux Send line feed from the mixer to the amp. Then he can adjust the volume on the amp. Worked for me going into a powered monitor.

No. Remove the subs and insert the monitors. It's either that or get another amp. In reality you probably need to buy an amp specifically for your subs and run mains and monitors off the Peavey.

Time for another amp i think. If you want to stay small, dump the Mackie and grab a decent powered mixer. That or move to powered tops for mains.

Praisegig has it right if you need an amp quickly. Especially if you extra bass amp has an effects loop. Aux or Monitor out (non-powered signal) to return on the effects loop and then run the monitors like cabs for the amp.
