Is their a quick fix for the battery casing on the Line 6 G30? It won't close when the batteries are in.

On mine, I just have to squeeze a bit hard and then sometimes, push the catch to the closed position with my fingernail. If it really just won't close, I'd say there's something wrong.

Gaffer's Tape - something you should have in your gig bag for taping down cords too. Looks like duct tape, but doesn't leave behind the gooey residue.

BTW I love my Line 6 G30, but sometimes that battery latch seems suspect...

I have Line 6 G50. Some brands of batteries are different in size and can cause problems. I always use Duracell Ultra or (most times) Duracell Active Pro rechargeable (wich I recommend you).

Good luck.

havent had problems with the rechargeables? Ive always heard rechargeables are not reliable enough for live situations.

No problems in my experience (in at least 30 gigs). Althought I always carry two fresh (recently recharged) sets, a pair of normal Duracell Ultra batteries and a good cable (cord).

Never had a problem with (Duracell) rechageable batteries. When I put in my G50, the display shows me that I can play for 8 hours long. I usually make gigs of only 3 hours (more or less), so I can use the same set of batteries for two shows.

Saludos.
