What do you think of my new PA?

I started playing with a new band and we were paying hourly for studio time. I got the guys to go in on a monthly lock-out studio, which meant that we needed to get a PA. I called the guitarist I used to play with to ask advice on PA gear as he used to run an open mic and had a lot of gear. Long story short he offered to sell me his gear as he was moving out of his studio and looking to buy a house, so here's what I got:

Behringer XENYX 2442FX Mixer with Effects

Behringer T1953 Tube Ultragain Processor

Crown XLS 802D Power Amplifier

80's ART effects processor

EQ

cheap compressor

2 Furman power conditioners

All in a rack with the mixer on top.

2 15" JBL SR series main speakers

2 12" JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor

5 Mic's (SM57, 2 vocal mics, another instrument mic and a kick mic)

3 Mic stands +1 mic stand for the kick

2 Speaker stands

All cords and cables needed + extras

All for $1,000 cash!

It was more than I needed, but I thought it was a deal that I couldn't pass up. Please save the Behringer bashing, it's only for practice twice a week and an accasional gig where they don't supply the PA.

What do you guys think? Is it as good of a deal as I think I got?

Definitely a good deal. Now eBay the T1953, the Art processor, the cheap compressor, the power conditioners, and you'll have more cash to add/upgrade the system.

You could also add the EQ and/or some of the mikes to the list, depending what they are, and upgrade to a dual 31 band eq for mains and monitors as well as a possible mike upgrade.

WOW,

That's a great deal provided evereything works well. Hell, just the Power amp- Monitors-mains, ART unit, mikes & JBL mains would still be a great deal for $1000.00. That's a good start.
