I play at a very large church 1 wed nt service and 2 Sun morning serviceseach week ( love it)
We have a full blown band live amps /drums and we utilize Aviom in ear monitoring. I was looking for a wireless IEM that would not sacrifice my low end fidelity having about to yank over my avom mixer this past Sunday with my 20 ft ext cable
I found this system for $189. I was a little skeptical because of price.
I use this system with my Superphonics Atrios and finally cable freedom
I kept the thing powered up from 4:45- 9:30 and still had power
I got the 100 ft line of site as advertised. about 75 non line of site with no latency with my wireless guitar syst
I use a Relay G50 wireless guitar system along with one of our guitar players no problem from either systems
The Wi audio has a 15 hz to 20khz freq response
I will try it as a inst wireless syst out of curiosity
Again this system gets 2 thumbs up
Here are some pix and by the way AMS will double 1 yr to 2yr warranty w free shipping. |

The price was great, and the fact that they came with a case is also great. The sound quality was ok, but it sounded too digital to me (my signal path is all analog with tubes) and reduced my volume quite a bit. They frequency response was great, as the sound was full and my low B came through nicely with no distortion.
But I returned mine because of one fatal flaw: latency.
It was about 10ms between playing and hearing. I tried to work with it, but I was unable to be comfortable with it. I tried it at band practice, and I just couldn't keep locked in, as I am an articulate player and once you start hitting those 16th notes at a fast tempo it all falls apart. Drove me crazy. And as I said earlier it did kill my tone a bit, not in terms of frequency, but it only samples at 16 bit 48khz, sucking all of my nice analog warmth into a digital dungeon somewhere in space.
I just sent it back last week, and ordered the line6 g30.

In a nutshell
Cable :
of course straight tone
Relay G50: Great tone/ Hardly the Latency (IMO these wireless systems are the best on the market)
Wi Audio:
you could slightly tell the Latency w no freq loss:
Playing in a very large Sanctuary I doubt it would make any timing difference again IMO
Here is a great article on Latency http://whirlwindusa.com/support/tech...-pandoras-box/
I would not use it nor any wireless system in a studio /recording atmosphere. Cable only
Again, Mighty Woot1 You will love the Relay Inst Wireless syst

| | | | You really have to try it before blowing it off due to latency
Latency on small levels is something the mind can easily deal with. For example, if you stand 10ft from your amp, that's 10ms latency. You'll play fine.
10MS is easy to achieve these days, and these Wi things have nowhere near 10ms.

I couldn't hang with it, it was really weird to me how I could feel my note vibrating in my hands before I could hear it in my amp.
I think for some this system would work well, but it wasn't good enough for me.
I got my line6 g30 last week, and I LOVE it. Best system I have ever used!
YMMV, etc.
