Wireless bass + IEM? I'm not trying to beat a dead horse and I have been and will continue to search the forums/internet on this subject. I will be doing my first bigger tour as direct support in a month or so and I really wanted to look into a wireless system so I can move around on stage between the space w***e guitar players and singer freely without losing a good mix and simultaneously saving my ears. I plan on using a full DI pedal type setup but my guitar players still have available rack space if need be. My question is 2 fold. Is there any viable options for a one pack wireless system that can send a clean bass signal and receive an IEM signal as well? And how does it work sending the signal from the mixer back to the wireless system? I have always used the wedges and don't know enough about mixers at venues and I need something that will be compatible everywhere I go. I see that some setups use a stereo system where you plug in 2 cables, one for the rest of the band and one that's just you so that you can adjust your volume independently. I need to make sure everywhere I go the sound guy can easily send me what I need and I hear the biggest issues people have when switching to a setup like this is lack of research/knowledge. Is this type of thing possible without having a separate sound guy/monitor guy setting up mixes and working things? We will not be bringing a sound guy although I'm assuming the headliner will. Also, I don't think everyone in my band will be switching to this type of setup right away so creating some big elaborate setup for everyone is probably not going to work. Thanks in advance! |
Check down on the iem from email thread. Your questions are in there |
You have a few risky things in your plan |
Ok, I'll look into that. I was reading that thread already but there's a lot of info and some stuff I didn't quite understand what they meant. |
