Can anybody recommend a great wireless system within 500 bucks? I want it to be crystal clear sound quality if possible. Thanks!

X2... www.x2digitalwireless.com

I have the "stomp box" version. Make sure you get an AC adapter for the receiver, and a rechargable 9v for the belt pack. I recommend the one I linked because it's "9.6v" which is above higher than most "9v" rechargables (they're usually in the 8v range), so it'll give you the juice you need and last for a few gigs.

It's very clear, LOUD (hotter than just a cable) and has solid range. You need to be line of sight or you may get some drops (I haven't had any yet), and at long distances you will get a delay.

Excellent results using the X2 XDR95

I'm using the X2 XDR95 rack mount unit for my bass wireless system and it is very clear and has never dropped out. You can check out their line of products on their website. They also make a new, smaller antenna unit that sells for less.

In the Miscellaneous forum you will find a wealth of information on wireless systems.

The X2 XDR95 doesn't diminish the tone. Here is a review from Base Player

Hope that helps.

Thanks for linking to the Maha Energy batteries. I will have to pick up a few of the 9.6V 9Vs and a charger for my x2. I have been going through the Duracells at quite a rate (they are cheap at Costco but still seems painfully wasteful)

Later
