Wireless system problem, need help

Sign in to disble this ad
hello there

i recently got a Samson Concert 77 Wireless System for myself, it sounds pretty decent, and i love the idea of playing live without annoying cables

one problem though, one of my basses is a Spector Euro LX5, which all who owns it knows it has a crazy high output, so high that the wireless transmitter cant proccess the sound and goes to clipping and to a very distorted sound

so, does anyone ever stumbled upon this problem? is there any magical solution for it?

Gain is probably fixed on that wireless and adjusting it a pain in the butt. Consider use of a pigtail very short extension with a voltage divider/attenuator built in to drop the output to the rest of your basses. I am thinking you are dealing with an active bass with such high output. Probably EMG which generally does not have an adjustable gain to set output level.

Sure – doesn’t the bass have a volume control? Just turn it down a bit until the distortion stops.

That's why I got something I knew could handle the Spectors in the X2 XDS-Plus. The 18V models blow up about anything else if you run them full-on. You probably just will have to cut your onboard volume.
