Is it true that even a crappy wireless system won't affect the tone of an active bass, because of impedence?? I don't want my bass sounding like a rhythm guitar, because that's what happens to my bass now with passive pickups, it turns to brittle, steel, and harsh tone.

That being said, no, it's not true. Anything you put through it will be adversely affected by a bad wireless system, be it an active bass, a microphone, a keytar, or a piezo attached to your navel. Get a professional grade system or go back to cables. Anything else is a waste of time. |

The newer wireless systems have compensation available that will emulate the impedance of a cable for passive instruments. You could also use the Radial box between bass and transmitter that does the same thing. |

Switch to a digital wireless
