Wireless systems in other countries????

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to get a wireless system soon and will be playing shows outside of the US. I have heard that certain wirelesses don't work in other countries. Is this true?? I'll be playing in Japan and Korea soon, if these countries make any difference. I'd like to hear any opinions on wireless systems as well. Right now I'm leaning towards the line 6 system. Any knowledge on the subject is greatly appreciated!

Hi.

AFAIK, most of the touring acts have different systems for different regions. Getting the lists of the available/legal bands in an particular region can be difficult at times, but the goverments telecommunications website is a very good place to start.

Contacting the promoter or the technical staff of the gig would be the safest choice as the available band won't automatically ensure trouble free operation.

Regards
Sam

The problem is not that they donŽt work, but they are illegal. The police etc. use different frequencies in different countries, and also many countries limit the max wattage of the signal.

The best solution is to look for info on the countries that youŽll be visiting the most, and when going to places outside of those, rent the equipment.
