I went and listened to the Yorkville Elite powered subs and tops and was really impressed. Does anyone use this stuff?

I know over on the harmony/central live sound forum that alot of people really like yorkville PA cabs. You might do a forum search over there for more opinions.

Yorkville speakers rock. Probably the best value on the market.

The LS800P kills.

We have one LS800P, and it HUMPS. I've been pushing to get the other sub with the EF500P tops. My bandmates are dragging their feet saying we don't need them yet. Money probs. I've been saving to cover some of the "shock", but no one seems to want to get up and move on it.

My smallest rig is a pair of EF500P tops over a pair of LS800P subs. Rocks! I have made more $$ with that rig in the 5yrs or so I have had it than with the bigger stuff (8 TX4s over 8 LS1208s). Of course my opinion might be biased, as I am a Yorkville dealer. That said, I am not a QSC dealer anymore, and I have a dozen HPR122s too....

We rented a pair of Yorkville powered Elite speakers at gig a couple of months ago. They were rented because we were thinking of replacing our powered Mackie's. We did a true A/B test on stage... because we used all four (a pair of Mackies and a pair of Elites) One pair was going to act as side fill and one pair as mains. We were playing a 450 person dance held in a high school gym. So a large venue in terms of open space.

I've always been a huge Yorkville fan .. but IMO .. the Mackie's blew the Yorkville's out of the water. No one was more surprised than me because I was expecting the opposite.
