Hi there everyone!

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong area

I am a newbie to the bass world (about 1 year into it) and I want to practice with technique and strength. I am quite a busy young person. (20 y/o, working 7 days a week to support my GAS issue... don't laugh)

If I was to set aside 15 minutes a day purely for tech and strength practice, how would you suggest to spend it?

I'm talking scales, patterns etc
I have been doing these for a few weeks now;

Although they are very basic, they have helped a lot in my eliminating of an overpowering 'buzz' when I walk playing bass lines.
And the slap one was just fun and easy to pop out whilst watching TV or reading blogs etc.

Thanks for your help. I've been lurking and posting a little for the past 3 days and I love this place. Very friendly and very informative. Also a huge set back on my recovery from GAS.

Here are some more links to check out. The R/H technique clip is taken from Todd Johnson's "Bass Technique " DVD which I would highly recommend. While it does not include slap, it is still a great all round lesson on technique

This clip differs from Flea's one about having the thumb vertical on the lower frets. Having the thumb pointing towards the headstock, as in this clip, while playing the lower frets seems more natural and comfortable to me.
