From 2 to 3?

Last year I had an injury at my right/plucking hand and I had to start all over learning again which sucked.
Anyway It started to hurt again and I'm wondering if I start using 3 fingers would it make it hurt less as you don't have to use as much force as you do with 2.Or will it be waste of time as I should study slap and tapping?

Also I wear my bass pretty high and almost parallel to the ground so I have to have an angle in the wrist and that hurt does not like angles!

u should definitely try 3fingerstyle for awhile, even if you're not injured. it seperated the workload between the fingers n usually go alittle faster once you get used to it. If you wanna play 3fingers i recommend you go r-m-i-r-m-i strictly

you also wanna lower you bass....sit on a chair, place your bass on your left thigh. try that height

Yes, I agree. You could try going i-m-r-i-m-r, too.

But definately do something about your bass position. It's supposed to be more at a 45º angle than parallel.

It feels so right when its parallel,I think Billy Sheehan has some influence on that too.I'll try to have it more like 45 degrees from now on!

The problem is,3 finger is so hard that its like learning to play again from the beginning! Any sources or sugestions for that?

Thanks for the answers BTW!
