2 hand tapping

hey, this is more of a theory than technique question, but what are solid intervals to play with the left hand (low notes) while tapping 12+ with the right hand

more or less, when using a key, what is good to playy with the left (bassline style, just r-5?) while playing melody wiht the right

when I double hand fret tap, I kinda sorta almost play chords. With my left hand I play a root + five or 3 or 2. Then I tap key chord tones about an octave up.

This is kinda the way Billy Sheehan does some of his.

ask yourself "if a guitar was playing the tapped melody what would i play under it" then play that.
