Ok I know this question has been asked before but I ohnestly could not find a thread about it useing the search engine. How can I ensure that my teqnique is proper in terms of avoiding tendonitus, arthritus or anything else?

Second question, I remember reading about a special guitar strap that reduces stress on the shoulder, can anywon tell the name of it?

First question...get a teacher who knows good technique.

Second question...there are several...the Comfort Strapp, the Planet Waves Bass Strap, the Levy's MSS24, the Slapstrap, generally any strap wider than 3 inches and has some padding should be good.

As long as playing for long periods of time doesn't cause any discomfort, numbness, reduction in bloodflow or pain (except in your fingertips of course) in your hands or wrists, your technique should be just fine.

If playing for extended periods does cause some issues in your wrists/hands, check out a good teacher like JimmyM suggests.
