Greetings. For a while now i have been contemplating learning the 3 finger technique and i just have a question about.

Will it affect my 2 finger technique in anyway? as in will i be able to play with 2 fingers as fluently as i can now?

IMO - this is VERY dependent on the individual. If you work slowly you will start to know how to co-ordinate the ring finger. Opinion again: if you take time you won't get caught in a coordination trap of demanding the ring finger be used in everything you play.
Using 3 fingers has some great advantages and it also can become a burden if you are always sounding off beat or in triplets. The concept is a good one however. So are many exploratory things such as pinching strings or using your thumb for more than Slap.
Experimentation (IMO) is not "good" or "bad", it's just another color in a rainbow of an auditory painting. The trick is to being able to choose when to make someone's face green and not mistaking it for brown.

It is very hard to get perfect timing. I've been doing it for several months and still am not perfect in triplets. Start adding it to you abilities as it will take a long time to perfect so start now.

As for goofing up you 2 finger tech....no it will be fibe and you will still use it often. Mine hasn't changed.

Two fingers technique didn't suffer for me, though I noticed it felt like a lot more effort to get the same speed out of two after I had been playing with three for a few weeks.

I played with 3 for about 7/8 years then switched back to 2, no problems. Over the last year I have been using 3 more for certain stuff especially anything with a triplet feel, it's nice to have it around for sure.
