I had never even heard of these prior to yesterday. Previously, the thinnest I knew of was .5mm. Seems like a .38 would be like trying to pick with paper.... am I missing something? |

I've played guitar for 15 years (only started bass a couple weeks ago), and it's true that fast guys typically go with a thick pick, coz you don't have any snapping. |

Yes I do. I can slap, pluck, tap and pick while still holding my pick.
Here's a clip of some one asking me about my picking technique, after seeing me utilize in during a show the previous night.
I'm explaining the basic approach to my slapping, plucking and picking technique all rolled into one and I'm using a Dunlop nylon .38mm pick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV10D9Mp7_8 |
