adam nitti - divine wind

there was an article in some past issue of Bass Player, about Adam Nitti and his technique called "fretting hand leading" which he employs on Divine Wind from his album Evidence.

to make a long story short, i have only seen this article online, and for some legal conundrum, BP doesn't put sheet music online. they only print it in magazine. since i am not able to get that copy of BP,(because i live in serbia ) i was wondering can someone give me directions how to exercise this technique. at least, if you could share some insight, that would be valuable, or at least not forgotten

OK, here's a transcription that Adam himself posted some time ago.
I think it explains pretty well what to do.

Is the technique to start each note with a hammer-on, and then only use the plucking hand for repetitions of the same note?

I, OTOH, have only seen the transcription, not read the article.
