adjusting to new things? (no-radius fretboards.)

does anyone here play a bass with a flat fretboard? i got one about 4 months ago, and its been my main bass since then. my left hand has adjusted just fine to it, but my right hand still seems to feel awkward when plucking above the neck pickup specifically. slapping, playing with my thumb, or over the bridge pickup are all perfectly fine.

does anyone have exciersizes specifically for adjusting to a new bass? or better yet, has anyone made the switch from "fender" style radiused basses to a flat one, and have anything theyd like to share?

i searched, but redirect me if i missed any flat-fretboard info..

I love flat fretboards, I wish all of my basses had them.
No exercises I know of though, it just takes time to get used to.

i figured that. i miss the "at home" feeling i had with my old bass.. however this one does sound superior to anything else i've ever touched.

i've been running scales up then down, then up and down in thirds, all in 2 octaves (6 string bass.) going up in half steps till ive gone all the way up the neck. after doing that for a few minutes i do feel more comftorble.. but still, plucking above that neck pickup, sometimes in the middle of a groove ill "trip" over my fingers. then i start thinking to much and everything feels awkward, wich is bad, being in a improv-based jamband.

oh well. i just hope i'll end up as "at home" with this bass as i was with all my others. the adjusting period never seemed this long or awkward, though. probably becuase its a suddle thing it's taking so long to get used too..
