Very nice clips Munki! You have alotta speed. I do have one suggestion from speedster to speedster, when playing fast riffs you seemed to start loud and get softer as it ended. It's a good idea to keep the energy up and keep the audience on the edge of their seats (if they're not already blown back by your playing ) And another thing I learned is that sometimes playing a few suspense notes will also engage the audience.
Munki you've got a gift with the bass!!

Anyways I think we're getting alittle off topic, heh.
One thing I've noticed about the fastest slap players is that there hand moves very little. Your hand should kinda looks like it's vibrating, if that makes any sense. And usually the movement is coming from the wrist/elbow. Think of your hand as a stiff plectrum(s) and use your wrist/elbow to pluck the strings.

Guys... you all kick ass. We're bass players
I was just wondering..... I can do double thumps real good, and I can do a few Thumb thumb pluck but when it goes all in the same string I just cant get the right position for my index finger. Any suggestions???

fumandoV- which- btw- confuses me as a name an/or monicre- but- alas- i am not the judge of anything- anyway- then you're just where i'm at- just do what youre doing till you get a bit more fancy- just think sweep picking with two sets of double picks- its mostly a technique/theory integration thing. if youre attemptingthe style without theory- then learn theory inside and out or be lost- otherwise just practice another 2-3 years and be humble- im trying- its hard not being good at something on the bass at this point- but i know it's just a time thing. happy bassiing!

Okay, when double thumping is it a Down-Up-Pluck-Pluck or more of a Down-Pluck-Pluck-Up-Down-pluck... or is it personal preferance?

I think once you get into it you won't really be thinking about it abd just doing it - that's how it should be - it's how I got some of the things I do happening, in a live situation or just jamming I tried it out and stuff really fell into place then. I'm getting this sh*t together on fretless now - sounds very Les meets Victor - on a dark and stormy night...

No, no, no! Now wait-a-sec here, Dude. Where's my Sunni Video?! I'm not kidding you, Man: I've watched that thing like every couple or few days since I discovered it a month-or-so ago! I love that song. Sometimes I play it a bunch of times in a row while I'm at work.

I've asked people to watch it, and said "Look at that! That's just inspiring to me! That's the kind of band I'd like to be in." The days I watch that video at work have most-often been days that I head right to the studio afterwards, grab a bannana from the fruit bowl on the way through for dinner (..through our drummer's kitchen, that is - his house is where the studio is. He always leaves a bowl of fruit out for guests.), and practice for hours.

..and that singer is just charming, man.
