Any problems switching between 4 and 5?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone,

I recently decided to order a fretless acoustic four string from Carvin; I'm really excited about it. My other bass, however, if one of the old Hamer 2Tek 5s. Has anyone out there had trouble jumping between a 4 and a 5 as far as the proximity of strings goes, or should it be no problem?

Thanks,
Matt

Some people do have a problem with it, but I believe that they are in the minority.

I switch between 4, 5, 6 and 12(triple 4), fretless 4, fretless 5, and scale lengths including 34", 34.5", and 35", and have little difficulty with any of the transitions.
