Didn't know where to put this. Quentin Tarantino is a huge inspiration to me. His movies are so crazy... after seeing a few I wanted to write music like his movies; crazy, inventive, fun. Any others?

- Poetry (particularly one friend of mine who writes the best songs, I have set two to music with her permission)
- Watching my dogs play in the park
Limiting who or what inspires me limits my voice...

But now, it's people like Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington inspire me. I love collecting their pictures

I kid, though, he's a great player.

Italo Calvino (fiction)
ee cummings (poetry)
Robert Smithson (sculpture/environmental art)
Elizabeth Streb (dance/movement)
Alexander Calder (mobil)
Frank Lloyd Wright (architecture)
Daniel Dennet (cognitive sciences/philosophy)
Arguably I've also been inspired by Woody Allen, S.E.Hinton, and the editors of The National Lampoon, seeing as I spent so many of my formative years reading their works. |

I remember a quote by John Cage where he said something like "Whenever I hear something that I hate, I try to figure out why I hate it, and than I figure out a way to love it. Than there's a bit less hate in the world and more love, and the world is much more beautiful without hate". Not the exact quote, but it goes along those lines.
I try to apply that sort of philosophy to everything in life, and it really has given me a limitless well to draw inspiration from.
