Applying the Tenor tune to other start notes

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys!

I would really appreciate if you guys helped me with this little thing im wondering about.
When tuning a bass to tenor tune, all of you probably know that you tune it to C-D-G-A
But i was wondering, if you changed the C to an E, what would the other string be tuned to?
and also, what are the steps in tenor tuning? (By steps i mean from E to A theres 5 steps)

I would really appreciate any help here!

Did you mean to post C-G-D-A instead?

Don't know about C-D-G-A. C-G-D-A is tenor guitar, banjo, viola, cello tuning.

I can imaging that this tuning could work for Bass if you tuned the E string down to C.

Transposing would be E-B-F#-C tuning in fifths starting with E?

What's the application?
