Artificial Harmonic Chord Sliding

Sign in to disble this ad
I find in my latter bass playing using the technique of artificial harmonic chords and sliding shortly there after. Especially tapping a.h. chords. I find I only use this on my six string though. Naturally the chord and octave possibilities on the six string are much larger than that of a four or five string. Anyone utilize this lovely tool?

Fo shiz. It's hard sometimes to keep the harmonic ringing after the slide though... I don't quite have it tight yet.

I love doing that. I just started playing with an songwriter who writes modern folkish material. Sliding around on harmonics sounds incredibley good when timed right. Particularly on my fretless, which also makes things a lot easier when I want to slide around some natural harmonics too

Here's another one play a natural harmonic and slide it up or down the neck. Also try bending it. Also you can bend the neck to get a vibrato effect.
