Bad Fretting Hand Technique!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I've just started to pick my bass up after putting it down for a number of years. I've started to get annoyed with the fact that I get a lot of noise from the other strings when I play, I think that the strings continue to vibrate after I move my finger off of the fret, sometimes it produces a harmonic when I move my finger off. I've never had any lessons, I figured out everything myself and right now I'm frustrated, maybe I just suck or have bad technique but I just want to know if anyone has any tips. I just had my bass properly set up too!
