Bass Lessons?

I've been playing bass for a couple years and have noticed a correlation between people who take lessons and there skill level. I don't have enough time or money to take bass lessons, so i was wondering what are some useful exercises/tips that anybody has on improving general play?

To answer that I'd have to know what you already know and how you play. In either case to improve your playing I'd point you to playing with others, i.e. get in a garage band, jam circle, or with a gigging band. If you can't fit the instructor into your life at least interface with other musicians.

To get better you gotta play some songs and get instant feedback. To get the instant feedback you gotta rely on either an instructor or another musician.

If that can not happen then tape yourself and practice on what needs work.
