Bass Tacit???

Saw "bass tacit" in a tab and have no idea what it is.

Can someone help me out?

Yep, it's spelled wrong ("tacit" means implied by or inferred from actions or statements, "tacet" means a direction for a musical part to be silent during a movement), but it means the bass doesn't play anything. Like what Bill Wyman plays on the verses of the studio recording of "Honky Tonk Women", or what Andy Fraser plays on the studio recording of "Alright Now" by Free, or what Prince plays on the original studio recording of "When Doves Cry"
