hello fellow bassist, im new to talkbass and im trying to get better at slap bass, i bought the slap bass dvd but i was wondering if you guys can give me suggestions on other really great dvds for slap, i ran into a video on youtube where there was a dvd that showed you abunch of how to play a bunch of good bass slap licks from victor wooten and other top bassist, i was wondering if anyone could give me links to it

Hey there,

Have you considered Slap It! by Tony Oppenheim? Great book with some great examples... (not a DVD but very comprehensive nonetheless).

Slap bass was a good dvd for techniques from begginning to advance players but i want a dvd with licks

Yeah all of Marlowes stuff is great subscribe. he covers everything. I was up at sam ash and had a look at slap it it looked pretty good, a book with dvd..

Hey.

Not a Dvd but books can sometimes cover more ground. I suggested SLAP IT for a long time and it's still amazing. But I now use this one http://www.basslinepublishing.com/tu...slap-bass.html, both for my self and when i teach. It cover A LOT and does it in a very good way.
