Exclamation Bassplayer wanted for WWW-jointventure (simple record and post!)

Sign in to disble this ad
Aloha,

I'm a sologuitarplayer from The Netherlands and I was wandering if anyone of you would be so kind to record a killer bass groove for me in Am?

You can use this drumtrack: Beat_Goblin_65bpm

Please upload your line and post the url in a reply.
After you've posted it, I'll "complete" the beef with some guitarsoloing and call it a WWW-jointventure.

What do I do?! This sort of stuff:
Lou_Salomé_Blues.mp3
Naumberg.mp3
Who am I?! Visit: Bosch Racing Lot's of mp3's out there.

I've posted this request in the Technique-forum cause I saw no other appropriate forum. Plus, this forum seems to be for playing bassists, no surfing ....

Thanx a lot!

Regardz,

~Bosch~

I couldn't download the drum beat. Although I could listen to one of guitar tracks. Awesome guitar work there

Hello Xoryn,

Oops, I fixed the drum. You should be able to load it now.

Thanx for the "awesome"!

Adios,

~Bosch~

Alright Bosh I will take a look at this tomorrow but I would like to give you some advice right off the top. First check out some of the online collaberation sites (the newest is Net Music Makers which launched last month and is still in beta) these sites are set up to put musicians together with other musicians to form virtual bands or to get players fill in instrument parts. The level of playing is arguably low but there are several of the full blow virtual bands that contain some great players and are producing some very interesting music. The point of this recommendation is that when you participate in these communities they have set up special rules and copyright protections so your work doesn't get stolen by someone else and the players at least get recognition for their contributions. I plan to set up a virtual studio at NMM next month and will start holding virtual band auditions shortly after that. I will however take a listen to the beat you posted. If there is nothing there but a beat than I will consider writing something (and then recording it for you) to shoot back. I will however insist, particularly if I write something more than just a single chord bass line, that if anything is done with it I get proper credit for my contribution. No guarantees (you are a fine young player if your site is an accurate representation) as my general taste in music tends to be more fusion jazz but I will at least give you a shot.

Did look at your site and your comments on the Dutch Guitar Championship about the jury determining you were "too technical" made me laugh for about twenty minutes.

@ spindizzy: Thanx for your recommandation. I'll have a look at it. Looking forward to hearing your bassline. One recommandation in return: making music is for FUN! Copyright protections are for pro's, loanslave's and people who take their lack of creativity to serieous. No offence. I love www-jointventures and made plenty. 'My' online co-musicians always get FULL credits! I'm proud of whom ever I work with.
Maybe my Idylls_From_Messina.mp3 is more in your league?
The jury's statement is worth laughing indeed, though in those days shred was more abundant in my playing (check Hail _Greeniator) than nowadays. Time for a comic rellief.

Just to let you know, I've loaded you're drum track into my recorder and have a grove going. I'm a novice and appreciate the opportunity to give a shredder my chops. I'll try to get it tight enough to post it on the recordings forum, and let you know here when I do.

Here's Your Bed

Ok Bosch, here is the result of my playing around with your drum beat. Try to listen to the whole thing as there are two or three areas that paint a slightly different canvas as it goes on. It is about twice as long as the sample you provided and is designed so that you could fade in and fade out as you desire. Try playing with it and go crazy. Hope you enjoy.
