Comments like "Here's that octave thing" and "We're using G to G#" lead me to believe his talent as a player exceeds his gift as a teacher. Pretty humble guy, though - he's got that going for him.
Just like he says at the start, GO SLOW and don't get impatient about wanting to go fast. It will come in time.

Beginner Slap Bass Lesson: Slap Starting High
| That is not a "beginner" lick, even at slower tempos. It's "intermediate", and when going at 130+ bpm, it's "expert", if of course it's played correctly.
Never heard of that guy.
Good Travis Bean bass, but kinda ugly. Is Kramer mixed up with that particular bass? |

Just like he says at the start, GO SLOW and don't get impatient about wanting to go fast. It will come in time. | That was "lick 14" IIRC, so saying "octave thing" is likely OK, since that must have been covered in licks 1-13. And like most lick tapes, it's probably is not big on classical theory education. |

I'm a horrible slapper, but the way it's explained is what makes it hard IMO |

Try leanrning "Thank you" by sly and the family stone. Very easy slap line.
That or select songs by the red hot chili peppers. The slap part to "storm in a teacup" isn't insanely chalenging. |

There are no more notes if you select "Expert". |
