| Karls books are as good as any if you learn from a book. Learning from a book puts the onus on you to understand what is being taught, and thats where it gets confusing, understanding the meaning of what is being said, what is required of you to do to achieve the meaning of what is being said, as a lesson. A teacher will do more for you than any book on your own could ever achieve in the main stream of music and playing. Why? Because a good teacher can take what is been said and makes it into a lesson.
Bottom line...Any book you read and understand the meaning of what is being taught, not said, is good book. |
