Book on (Strummed) Bass Chords

Sign in to disble this ad
Someone posted a book on this a while ago and a vaguely remember. It did not interest me beforehand, but I feel as if I am hitting a creative plateau and no longer moving forward which is extremely frustrating for me so if anyone knows what book this might be or other similar books then that would be greatly appreciated.

Aside from that any sort of "avant-garde" and unorthodox bass technique book recommendations would be nice. I just want to expand my horizons. Thanks in advance.

Forward Motion by Hal Galper is worth a look by any serious player. The introduction alone really made me reconsider how I approach learning music.

"Contemporary Bass Solos" by Earl Gately is a very low priced Mel Bay book from 1982. It's a thin little compilation of about 15 works that are so different from one another that I kept it in a plastic binder (I wore it out). Very unique stuff; if you can find it, it's very inexpensive & has changes that almost make you laugh because they are very original.
