Can anyone suggest a video instruction program of Fretless technique?

I have wanted to learn how to play fretless for years......I can't imagine howfretless players get those spot on notes when the intonation of each and every note depends on the player reliably playing each note exactly right............many without even looking...............Im sure its....practice, practice, practice,.......I know,....but thinking that in there there has also got to be some conceptual or theoretical approach that makes beginning to play a fretless bass more.........mmm....well.....logical??

Is there anything on DVD that anyone can recommend??

Try a search for the DVD, BASS EXPLORATION OF PERCY JONES. If not just search Percy Jones...i think you will like.

Someone show me a vid of a player playing something up and down the neck with perfectly [or very near so] "in tune" BG technique w/out looking. Sorry about the rant.

Anyway, go to YouTube and look up Gary Willis. It's about six or so segments from an instructional vid he did years ago. GW mostly talks about right hand technique, but he goes into left hand stuff as well.

Steve Bailey has a good DVD.

I have a fretless squier with fretlines. At first it felt very strange playing without the actual frets. Then, I got used to that, at least there were fretlines. Now I feel much more comfortable sliding down the fretboard without looking much. Once you're used to the bass, you might just need a dotted neck.
